Stakeholder Perceptions For Sustainable Development Tourism Of The World Heritage Site

This study explores the factors that influence the stakeholder perception  of tourism development in the context of protected areas of World Heritage Sites. To do so, this study provides a theoritical contribution through a mixed- method approach. It examines the theory of social exchange and theory of substantive by Weber and formal rationality combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Research expected findings provide information about multiple factors determining the tourism development support, namely: community attachment, environmental attitude, cultural attitude, economic gain, in an involvement that reflected the stakeholder perceptions to support the tourism development. Ultimately, this study paves the way for improving normative approaches toward sustainability and offers practical solutions to the challenges the government and non-government  organizations face to protect the World Heritage Sites.
