Comparative Study In The Influence Of International Chain And Local Chain Hotel Covid-19 Readiness Strategies On Guests Satisfaction And Trust In Indonesia

The spread of COVID-19 and large-scale travel restrictions has an impact on the global hospitality and tourism industry. Due to the nature of the crisis of COVID-19, Hospitality Industry in Indonesia need to adapting many new strategies in response to the evolving crisis. Furthermore, International chain hotels and local chains have
different approach on readiness strategies, which brings into differentiation of how guest will be satisfied. In general, guest affiliation to a hotel brand brings more international demand when it is compared to independent or local chain operations. On the other side, local hotel chains is considered for the adaptability to local business conditions (Ribaudo, Moccia, Orero-Blat, & Palacios-Marqués, 2020). This study presents comparation of coronavirus readiness strategies at International Chain Hotel and Local Hotel in Indonesia and their influence on hotel guests trust and satisfaction. Questionnaires will ne distributed using an online survey. The questionnaires will be using a 5-point Likert scale with the anchors of (1) ‘strongly disagree’ to (5) ‘strongly
agree’ to reduce variability in the results. The data will be collected from customers that have been stayed in both International Chain hotel and Local Chain Hotel in Indonesia. The data will be analyzed using a quantitative approach. Reliability and validity will be confirmed before proceed to the analysis. The data is presented using Structural Equation modelling (SEM) using the Smart PLS statistical software.
