Design For Recycling; Developing A Mobile Application To Improve Recycling Behaviour

As a major contributor to plastic pollution in the world, Indonesia promises to reduce plastic waste by 70% by 2025. However, plastic waste continues to increase. Previous research showed mobile recycling application could improve, this study intends to develop a mobile recycling plastic application. By employing a mixed-method, mobile plastic waste recycling application was developed. The result of this study presend (1) the design process in developing mobile applications that utilizefeatures for perceived behaviour intention factors, and (2) usability paper protottype testing that generated the potential for participants to engage will likely improve recyling behaviour. This study concluded that the final prototype application needs to be tested and collaboration through a co-design project is recommended
