DESIGN FOR SERVICE: USER RESEARCH OF DIGITAL MARKETPLACE FOR AGRICULTURAL FARMERS IN RURAL AREA

While most of interaction designs that integrate on digital marketplace applications are for
high literate users in urban area, this study will investigate form of service design through user
research design studies for farmers as users who are semi-literate in rural areas in Indonesia.
By employing design for service through user research experience, this design research seeks
to develop digital application ICT-based. Field visit and semi-structured interviews will be

conducted as qualitative methods and participatory for the design system, mapping and paper-
based prototyping that might guide to create several essential interaction features that

contributed to its success.
